Connie will be attending ThrillerFest in New York City, July 11-14, 2012. She has been interviewing members of ThrillerWriters for the ITW blog.
Connie will be a presenter at the new Hawaii Writers’ Conference, www.SpellbindersConference.com, in Hawaii, over Labor Day, 2012 (Aug. 31-Sept. 6).
Connie participated in Printers’ Row in the streets of Chicago, at the IWPA, HWA and MWA booths in June.
The Chicago branch of the Illinois Women’s Press Association honored members and outstanding high school students with its Silver Feather Award on May 21 at a luncheon held at the Union Club in Chicago, Illinois.

It Came from the ’70s also received a (first-ever) E-Lit award, as did Hellfire & Damnation, which placed 7th of 46 entries in the short story category on the Preliminary Stoker ballot, (3 places ahead of Stephen King’s “Full Dark, No Stars”).
Connie signed copies of It Came from the ’70s at the BEA (Book Expo America) on May 25 in New York City and will be selling and signing copies of all of her books at Printers’ Row at the IWPA tent on June 5 and June 6 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
On December 10th, Connie and Emily Marquez, one of the illustrators of the children’s cat book “The Christmas Cats in Silly Hats,” appeared at Barnes & Noble at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. for a book signing. Following the signing there, they were at Razzleberries in LeClaire signing books from 2:30 to 4:30 and then at the Village Christmas Walk in Geneseo (Four Seasons window) from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
